Know History travels to Northern Labrador
In February, Know History staff traveled to Nain in Northern Labrador to meet with representatives of the Government of Nunatsiavut. Their first attempt to fly to Nain was thwarted only a couple of hundred meters from Nain Airport due to whiteout blizzard conditions, followed by another canceled flight, the next day. When they finally arrived in Nain, the team received a warm welcome from a convoy of snowmobiles!
The trip was a great success, and we are honored to have had the opportunity to work with the wonderful and passionate team in Nain. Though the temperature reached a crisp -31°C, the hospitality was unbeatable, and the locally caught Arctic char and cod were delicious!
