KH attends the Calgary and Central Alberta Regional Heritage School Fair
Earlier this May, Know History had the opportunity to judge the Calgary and Central Alberta Regional Heritage School Fair at The Hangar Flight Museum. This is an annual event for students from Grades 5-9 that celebrates heritage and history. Know History has been a longtime fan of the fair, with our very own Director of Engagement and Fieldwork, Emily Keyes, winning her plaque when she was just 13 years old!
We met so many fascinating students and volunteers and had the honour of judging eight military-specific projects alongside Honorary Colonel Mike Bullis from the Royal Canadian Air Force | Aviation royale canadienne. It was an insightful and enjoyable day at the Heritage Fair and our historical researchers left feeling like the next generation of Canadian historians may be some of the best yet!
