Alison has spent the past 20 years immersed in Indigenous history. She worked as a Research Advisor with the Ontario Ministry of Indigenous Affairs, conducting research for Ontario’s land claims process, and providing advice to government on Indigenous history, issues, and lands.  Alison served as a faculty member at the Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies and is a founding member of the Mohawk Institute Research Group, through which she is co-editing a book with Six Nations community members and academics.
