Visit with the Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia

During Black History Month, Know History was honoured to welcome members of the Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia, alongside invited cultural and museum leaders, to our Bank Street office for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and shared learning. The visit took place while the Centre was in Ottawa for a series of national engagements, including meetings on Parliament Hill and with Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Led by a presentation from Russell Grosse and the Centre’s team, the visit highlighted the important work being done to preserve and share Black history in Nova Scotia. Know History also shared reflections on our own approach and projects, sparking thoughtful discussion among guests. We were grateful to host such an engaged group and to spend time learning from one another.
